Just a little shopping spree...

Mood: Very happy
Listening to: Arctic Monkeys- Do I Wanna Know

Hello there beautiful bloggers!

So I've been on a little shopping spree yesterday and today. I tried not spending anything, buuuut I am lethal when I visit Boots. First of all I purchased some very beautiful nail varnishes from Barry M.

1. Confetti Nail Effects in Marshamallow

2. Glitter Nail Paint in Pink Silver Glitter

3. Gelly Nail Effects in Prickly Pear

4. Textured Nail Effects in Ridley Road

I also picked up a lipstick from Rimmel the Kate Moss range in 107. I was scared at first, but I am prepared to come out of my comfort zone. I don't usually wear matte lipstick or red for that matter but it's been highly rated by a lot people so I decided to give it a try.

I also bought a few items of clothing but I can't be bothered to post pictures of them; I only bought skinny jeans, a long top and a pair of shoes all from Newlook.

Apart from my little shopping spree, a few days ago I bought a teeth whitening kit from Boots to try and whiten my teeth. My teeth were not yellow to begin with but I'm trying to get them a few shades whiter than usual. I've been using the product for 2 of the 7 days and I've already noticed a difference. The product is called Rapid White one week whitening system. I would really recommend this if you want to whiten your teeth but you're on a budget.

(Ignore the lack of make-up and dodgy hair. Lipstick is the Kate Moss one mentioned above)

So I'm going to leave the post there now, I feel like I've posted a million pictures on here today! Hope you all have a wonderful day/evening!

Week Away & Online Shopping

Mood: Relaxed
Listening to: Justin Timberlake- Suit & Tie

Hello there lovely bloggers!

So in my last post I mentioned I was going away for the week with my family, I was unable to write during the week because I didn't have access to the internet. Plus I was having such a lovely time I didn't really have the time even if it was possible.

Throughout the week we visited the beach, Folly Farm adventure farm & zoo and a dinosaur park. We had to keep my three year old niece very busy and she really enjoyed, as did I!

(Evening beach trips, look at that blue sky!)

(Watch out for the Pterodactyl in the tree!)

(The penguins are my favourite at Folly Farm)

I arrived home yesterday so I've basically just chilled since being back, I watched a few films on Netflix and I've done a little bit of online shopping...Yes, I've been spending again. It was payday on Thursday so I decided to treat myself. I bought myself two Real Techniques make-up brushes (Expert Face Brush & Fine Liner Brush) and Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Eyeliner. The brushes are something I've wanted for a while now so I'm extremely happy I've bought them. And I've heard good things about the Maybelline Gel Eyeliner so I decided to buy it because I've been using eyeliner on my lash line a lot lately and wanted to try it out for myself. So really looking forward for them to arrive!

I also had a mini pamper day today. I woke up and I cleansed my face with my Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish and Toner (I've been using my Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish and Toner twice a day, everyday since I've had it and my skin has been like a dream. I've been looking for a product like this for a very long time. Seriously recommend it guys!) I had a shower washed my hair and shaved my legs. I used Soap and Glory Sugar Crush to get rid of dry skin on my legs and arms. Afterwards I applied a gradual self tanner. I used Dove Summer Glow for fair to medium skin. I like this product because it makes my skin really soft and it gives a lovely natural glow and it doesn't smell that bad either.

Anyway, I'm going to settle down for the night and watch some more films and paint my nails!

Wonderful weekend

Mood: Very, very tired
Listening to: Passenger- Let her go

Hello there bloggers!

I am currently writing this half asleep, so forgive me if I make any mistakes or I just don't make sense. This weekend my friends and I went on an unplanned night out and it was great. I didn't get to sleep until four o'clock in the morning because I thought it was a great idea to open up the Netflix app on my phone and watch a film in the early hours of the morning...great idea Bethan.

It was so lovely to see my best friends, although we may not see each other as often as we would like because of work and university, when we do meet up it's as if nothing has changed and to me those are the greatest friendships. I love my friends a lot.

So over the last few days I've gone a bit crazy ordering beauty and skincare items online...oops. I started off by buying Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish and the Toner and it's honestly the best skincare products I have ever used so I will most probably be doing a review in the next week or two. I also went a bit crazy on the MUA website and ordered quite a bit, so I will hopefully do a MUA haul post in the upcoming future too. When the packages arrived I got a little bit too excited and probably scared away the delivery man. Sorry.

I'm going to leave it there for today, and I'm going to pack my suitcase because I'm going on a caravan holiday with my mother, sisters and beautiful little niece in the morning. So I'm going to take lots of pictures and maybe update you half way through the week, if not it shall be Saturday.

July Favourites

Mood: Cheery
Listening to: Icona Pop- I don't care

Hello Bloggers!

I've been thinking about doing a favourites post for a long time, and since I've got my new blog I've grabbed the opportunity to do so and I'm going to show you a few products I've really enjoyed using throughout the month of July.

I've seen many people do this through their blogs or YouTube channel, so I thought it would be a fun idea to do. I'll start by naming the product and doing a small review on it and I've also added pictures so you can see the items. I've not been paid to review any of these products and all items were purchased by myself from my own money or were received as a gift by family or friends.

1.  Sleek i-Divine Eyeshadow Palette in Storm

I bought this product at the start of July and it's honestly one of the best eyeshadow palettes I have ever used. At first glance the actual palette was smaller than what I expected but it still looked like an attractive product and was similar in feel to the MAC palettes, but when I looked inside I wasn't disappointed, I expected less shadow and that wasn't the case. The price of the palette was a very reasonable £7.99 (not including p+p if purchasing online) and there are twelve colours all together. Nine of the twelve eyeshadows are shimmery and very pigmented and the other three are matte. A little goes a long way with this product and you don't have to use a lot to get a really vibrant look. My favourite colour from this palette is the shimmery rose gold colour (Bottom-left picture: It's the one on top right) it's really natural and I always get compliments when I wear it. I can't recommend this product enough.

2. Boots Extracts Fairtrade Cocoa Butter Body Butter

I received this body butter as a gift a little while back and for some reason I've only started to use it recently. This product came in a set with the matching body wash and that is equally as good. When you first open the delightful little pot there is an instant smell of cocoa butter and it smells good enough to eat but I wouldn't recommend you do that. The butter itself is very thick and luxurious but not at all greasy and sinks into your skin very quickly unlike other cocoa butters I've tried. I find it's best to use after you showered and towel dried, it really works into your skin making it soft to the touch. Another reason I like this product is the fact it uses fairtrade certified ingredients, so you don't feel guilty buying it. You can buy this product in a set or buy it individually so it's perfect as gift or a little treat for yourself.

3. Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in 200 Soft Beige

Last month the UK had an amazing heatwave which is practically unheard of here but naturally I caught a wonderful tan over these weeks and my natural milky pale skin was lovely and sun-kissed. Which could only mean I needed one thing...new foundation. I usually use MAC studio sculpt foundation but I didn't want to splurge on a foundation to cover a tan that wouldn't last that long. I decided I would buy an inexpensive but highly recommended foundation so I did a little research online and saw many people advising to buy this foundation. As luck would have it during my grocery shop in Tesco I noticed they stocked this foundation and it was on offer at £5.99! Bargain. I chose the foundation in soft beige and it's and you can build it up to medium coverage. The actual foundation is very thick which not many people like but I personally I do. It has a lovely smell to it too and it applies to your face easily. It gives you a fresh, dewy finish and makes you look radiant. I would purchase this again.

4. Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in 001 Honey/Douce

Last but not least of my July favourites is the Revlon Just Bitten lip stain. This product is a really good dupe of the Clinique chubby sticks. They're like a balmy lip crayon and they apply really easily although I recommend you apply it using a mirror just in case. The packaging looks good and it doesn't look cheap, which I like a lot. I don't really like felt lip stains so I was a bit apprehensive to trying these but I'm so glad I did because the colour lasts for hours and I only have to reapply after eating and drinking but even then it's still much better than a lot of other stains. They leave a light minty taste when applied which I adore and they don't dry out your lips like the felts do because it's a balm. I only have this in one colour but I am hoping to try out a few more colours in the near future!

So there are my July favourites! I hope you've enjoyed this type of post as I've really enjoyed doing it. If you have any other questions about the products I've mentioned don't be afraid to ask me anything. Do you have any favourite products that you've used this month? Let me know!

Too much?

Mood: Energized
Listening to: Fuse ODG ft Wyclef Jean- Antenna

Hello again bloggers...

I know in my last post I said I'd write again soon, but I didn't think it would be this soon but I got excited because I changed the design of my blog and I'm very pleased with myself because I'm no expert. I used my favourite colours obviously, and I think it looks very cute.

I've been drinking a lime daiquiri (very adventurous for a Wednesday evening) and I've sorted out my make-up bag which needed a good clean. I really want to buy a new make up bag, so any recommendations for a pretty, decent size bags are welcome.

Anyway I better get some beauty sleep, otherwise I will have lovely bags under my eyes tomorrow and will look like a panda's twin sister.

A new blog

Mood: Excited
Listening to: Nicki Minaj- Starships (Don't judge me)

Hello there bloggers!

Okay, so this isn't my first blog but I basically let my other one die so I've decided start afresh (here's to new beginnings.) In my new blog you will be able to read about my life, beauty products, reviews and lots of other miscellaneous things I like to ramble about.

I've just realised I've not introduced myself at all. What a fantastic start, but better late than never eh? Let's begin with my name that's always a good start. My name is Bethan and I live in a small country in the UK called Wales. I was born to a lady named Gillian and a man named Michael twenty years ago on an early December morning. I have an older brother named Mathew and two big sisters called Rhian and Rebeca which makes me the baby of my amazing family.

To start off my first post I shall post five random facts about myself so you can know me a little better, so here goes nothing...

1. My favourite colours are pink and mint.
2. I have a weak spot for floral patterns *cough*Cath Kidston*cough*
3. My birthday is the twenty-third of December.
4. I don't like milk in my tea.
5. Butterflies creep me out.

OK, so I feel like you know me a little better now so I'm going to love you and leave you and I'll be back very soon with another post. If you would like some more updates, check out my Twitter account
