Songs I'm loving || September

Mood: Mischievous
Listening to: Sub Focus ft Kele- Turn It Around

Here are my top ten songs that I've currently been loving and listening to non-stop, they're not all newly released songs but ho-hey!

1. Sub Focus ft Kele- Turn It Around

When I first heard this song I thought Bloc Party had released a new song and got very excited. I'm an avid user of the iPhone App 'Shazam'; it listens to songs and tells you the track name and the artist. When it told me that it was Sub Focus featuring Kele who is the lead singer from Bloc Party, I got very excited because they used to be one of my favourite bands when I was 14/15. It's such an upbeat, magical and happy song and I absolutely love it!

2. Arctic Monkeys- Do I Wanna Know

I have a love/hate opinion on the Arctic Monkeys, I absolutely adore some of their songs and then I hate others. But I must say when I first heard this on the radio a while back I fell in love with it instantly. It's such a laid back but edgy song and it really does get your head nodding. I approve of this song!

3. Conor Maynard- R U Crazy

One of my most played songs lately, I can't stop listening to it. It's so catchy and you end up singing along with it. Conor Maynard has outdone himself with this one.

4. Bastille- Overjoyed

I love Bastille and there's not a lot of tracks by them I don't enjoy. I love to listen to their album 'Bad Blood' on Spotify, but the track Overjoyed is almost played on repeat every time. I've also enjoyed it even more since listening to the Becky CJ version on YouTube where she remixes it with Kiss You by One Direction.
Listen to it here.

5. London Grammar- Strong

London Grammar remind me a little of The xx, a band which I really enjoy listening to. The lead singer (Hannah Reid) has such a beautiful and relaxing voice and she gives me goosebumps every time I hear her. 'Strong' is a song I love listening to while I just chill out and relax.

6. Katy Perry ft. Juicy J- Dark Horse

I'm totally addicted to this song, it's just so...sexy! Katy Perry completely blows my mind with the different songs she sings. It's the complete opposite to her recent song 'Roar' (which I also love) I like that she experiments a little with her voice.

7. Tom Odell- Can't Pretend

A few months ago I purchased Tom Odell's album 'Long Way Down' and I'm still not sick of playing it. Can't Pretend and Sense are my two favourite songs on the album along with the popular and catchy 'Another Love'. I honestly recommend you listen to him if you haven't already.

8. Maximo Park- Books From Boxes

One of my all time favourite songs, but lately I've been playing it a lot. It makes me feel nostalgic and brings back happy memories of when my best friend mistook it for Girls Aloud's song 'Love Machine'. I could listen to this song ten times and feel a different emotion each time. Great song always and forever.

9. Avicii- You Make Me

I love, love, love this song! Avicii never fail to impress me with their music. I've literally been listening to this on repeat on YouTube.

10.  Le Youth- C O O L

This is a sample of the song Me & U by Cassie, and a song I used to listen to when I was younger. I love this version because the vocals are quite chilled out but the electronic beat gives it a certain edge. Every time I hear it I think it would be an amazing runway song at a fashion show.

Make-up HAUL || e.l.f & Boots

Mood: Happy
Listening to: Katy Perry ft. Juicy J- Dark Horse

Hello beautiful bloggers!

I did a little online shop on e.l.f last Sunday because they're a brand I've never tried before and I've heard good things about them. When I visited the website it had an offer on that if you spent over £20 you received an autumn collection free, so that's exactly what I did. I'll put an asterix(*) next to what came in the autumn collection. Just to let you know I've not put pictures of everything I bought but I'll let you know what they are at the end of the post.

 (e.l.f mineral lipgloss in Bare*)

(Bare is such a beautiful nude gloss, they couldn't have picked a prettier colour for me.)

(Conditioning Lip Balm in Romantic Rouge* & Matte Eyeshadow in Smoke*)

(Romantic Rouge is very pretty red, it's not over the top and it also has an spf of 15)

(Matte Lip colour in Natural, and two Lip liners & blending brushes in Fuchsia & Nude Pink)

(I adore these products! Especially the Fuchsia lip liner. It reminds me of Candy Yum Yum by MAC)

(Radiance Enhancer in Golden*, Jumbo Eyeshadow Stick in French Lace and Primer Eyeshadow in Misty Mauve*)

(Sorry for the bad quality picture! But the lighting doesn't do the actual colours justice!)

I then visited Boots in the week and they had a buy one get one half price offer on, which I could not resist. I picked up a Maybelline Eyestudio Colour Tattoo 24hr cream in Pink Gold, Rimmel Soft Khol Eyeliner in white (not pictured), Bourjois Delice de Poudre and Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer in Light. I also popped in to Debenhams and bought Boi-ing by Benefit.

(Very pretty colour but doesn't look as nice on your lids as it did on your hand. Great for an eyeshadow base though)

(Doesn't look as pigmented on your eyes)

(It does really last 24hrs though, it's very hard to remove)

(Very happy with all three of these purchases! Especially the Collection 2000 concealer.)

(Edited picture using Fuchsia Lip liner as a lipstick)

(Unedited picture using Fuchsia lipliner. Sorry for the bad quality!)

(Blurry shots I thought I'd add in)

Other items purchased but not shown were:

Real Techniques Core Collection
Real Techniques Starter Set
Mineral Eyeshadow from e.l.f in Confident *
e.l.f Eyeliner Brush
e.l.f Eye Crease Brush
e.l.f Studio Stipple Brush
e.l.f Toe Separators  *

Sorry for the long post and I hope you've all enjoyed reading this post! As I've not used many of these products yet I'm not giving an opinion but the products I have used from e.l.f so far I am very happy with!
I hope you've all had a great day.

Hello beautiful bloggers!

Today I've decided to share with you my current beauty items, so things I'm currently using in my everyday routine or use most of the time. I'm not sure if people have done this before but feel free to do one of these yourself and let me know so I can read it.

My Current

Mascara- Le Volume de Chanel in Noir

Foundation- Hello Flawless by Benefit in "Believe in Me" Ivory

Shampoo & Conditioner- Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo & Conditioner

Moisturiser- Liz Earle's Skin Repair Moisturiser for Normal/Combination skin

Deodorant- Dove go Fresh in Pomegranate and Lemon Verbena scent

Perfume- Lady Million by Paco Rabanne

Shower Gel- Sanex Sensitive shower gel

Toothpaste- Colgate Advanced White Toothpaste

Mouthwash- Colgate Max White One (Alcohol free)

I haven't added my current eye-shadow, blush,  lipstick, bronzer etc because they change daily but with my foundation and mascara I use the same one for a little while and swap them around if I fancy a change.

- - - - - -

I've not much else to say really because I've already started to plan a post on a little haul I did at boots and e.l.f and that should be up by the weekend or a little bit sooner (fingers crossed). But in actual Bethan world, I've been very busy and tired from work but some great news is that I'm having another niece! My sister is due in February and I can't wait to meet her. I already have one niece, so it will be nice to have another little girl to spoil.

Hope you're all having a fabulous week!

Liebster Award

Mood: Proud
Listening to: Ellie Goulding- Halcyon

Hello beautiful bloggers!

So I was recently tagged for the Liebster Award by Cassandra (check out her page) and it never even crossed my mind that I would get nominated!
The Liebster Award is a way to show people other blogs with less than two hundred followers. It's a great way to get recognised because there are so many great blogs out there that deserve to be seen!

The questions that were left for me

001. What is your favourite part about blogging?

I find blogging very therapeutic. I love coming home from work and sitting down to read through different posts because I love finding new beauty products. Blogging is a great way to read reviews to help you find those perfect beauty items.

002. What’s a TV show you could watch over and over again and not get tired of?

This answer is probably really cliché but I have to say Friends. I don't watch much TV but guaranteed if I do Friends will be on.

  003. Must have skincare product.

I cannot live without moisturiser, at the moment I'm using Liz Earle's Skin Repair Moisturiser for Normal/Combination skin. I love it! (This was really difficult to chose because I also can't live without Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish.)

004. Do you have any pets?

I do, I have an adorable cat named Biggles. My sister also has a Bichon Frise named Hugo that I always look after so I consider him to be a pet too.

005. What is your favourite nail polish colour?

It has to be Pink Silver Glitter by BarryM. It's gorgeous paired with other nail polishes or a great stand alone colour. It's a glitter polish and it really catches your eye plus it's nicer than your average nude/pink.

006. What is your most played song on iTunes?

My most played song is "N***A's in Paris by JAY-Z & Kanye West (played 51 times). I must admit I love most types of music but I can't resist a bit of Kanye West.

007. What are your 3 go to makeup items?

Number one would have to be the Benefit's Hello Flawless foundation. I've recently re-started to use this foundation again and I can't remember why I switched over because it's such a good foundation on me. Number two would be another Benefit item, the They're Real mascara. I've bought this over and over again. I must have bought it at least six times now, it's so good! And lastly I would say my MAC blusher in 'Dainty' it's such a pretty colour and it's the blush I used at my sisters wedding, so it's quite special to me.

008. Name your favourite perfume.

I have two favourite perfumes one I've used for years and I can only find online now, and that is 'Still' by J.lo. It's such a light and clean perfume. It has light floral notes with a slight citrus scent to it, it's really delicate and everyone compliments it when I do wear it. My other favourite is the popular 'Lady Million' by Paco Rabanne. It's very feminine and has a floral scent with high notes of orange flower and raspberry.

009. What lipstick (or any other lip colour) did you wear yesterday?

I don't like wearing a bright lipstick to work so yesterday I just used my Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me. It gives a slight red tinge to my lips whilst keeping them soft.

010. Favourite place to shop online?

For beauty products I would have to say Boots, I have an advantage card there so I can earn points whilst buying what I want. As for clothes I don't really buy online, I prefer to shop in person.

011. What’s your dream holiday destination?

My dream holiday destination would have to be Italy, I've never been before and I love travelling to different cities. I'm not a huge sun and beach type of girl, although I do enjoy being in the sun I can't just sit in it all day because of boredom. Shopping in the city and then relaxing in the hotel pool sounds more appealing to me.

Look What I Bought!

Mood: Excited/Ecstatic
Listening to: Selena Gomez- Come & Get It

Hello my wonderful bloggers!

So I've been shopping again and I've bought one or two things I've wanted for a while now. First of all I bought the Rimmel Stay Matte powder in Transparent. I've honestly never seen anyone who dislikes this product, so I thought I'd bite the bullet and give it a go. There was one thing I was disappointed in...myself for not buying it sooner! It's such an amazing powder, it honestly does exactly what it says on the tin. I've been raving about it so much, I've even persuaded a friend to buy it.

The second product I bought was the Maybelline Baby Lips in 015 Cherry Me. I was very excited to buy this moisturising lip balm after hearing so many good reviews online, and after spending a good ten minutes of playing eenie-meenie and trying to decide which one to get, I opted for the Cherry one because who can go wrong with classic cherry. The product really does moisturise your lips for quite a few hours and I can see myself using it a lot throughout the winter. The only thing I was disappointed in was that I thought it would give a little more colour to your lips, but it could be the fact I do have quite pink lips. I also forgot to mention, it tastes and smells amazing! All in all, I am very pleased with the product.

And last but not least I bought the Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo & Conditioner. I have only used these once so far and from first impressions they're excellent products. After one use my hair feels stronger and shinier and they smell so good. The actual shampoo and conditioner is very thick and feels luxurious to use. I can't say a lot more because I like to use shampoo and conditioner for at least a week to recognise the changes that it does to my hair but I have high hopes for these babies!

I hope you've all had a great week and let me know the latest products you've bought! I'm always interested in hearing about new products.

20 Things About Me

Mood: Ecstatic
Listening to: Bastille- Pompeii

Hello my beautiful bloggers!

I've decided that I'm going to write twenty facts about myself so you can get to know me a little better. Hope you all enjoy and feel free to ask me questions in the comments.

1. I once made up an entire Christmas song called 'I love Christmas'. I can still remember the lyrics.

2. I can't remember a time when I wasn't obsessed with beauty items and make-up. I love everything about it.

3. I hate horror films, even the adverts scare me and give me nightmares. I would much prefer to watch a Rom-Com or an action film.

4. I have naturally very wavy/curly hair.

5. I went through the 'Emo' phase when I was 14/15. Not my greatest look.

6. My favourite Disney film is The Aristocats and my favourite Disney Princess is Aurora (Sleeping Beauty).

7. I have certain films I have to watch at Christmas time, they include Bridget Jones' Diary, The Holiday, Elf and Home Alone.

8. Tomato ketchup is the worst thing ever, I feel sick looking at the bottle.

9. The last people I saw in concert were Rihanna and David Guetta.

10. I've been blonde all my life until I decided to dye it brown in February. I've not dyed it since but the brown has now faded to a golden blonde.

11. Wrists and veins make me feel nauseous.

12. I'm a very family oriented person and I get on with my parents really well.

13. Peonies are my favourite flowers.

14. I still find The Vicar of Dibley incredibly funny, I would recommend you watch it if you haven't seen it.

15. I once went to an Atomic Kitten CD signing and accidentally ran out the one picture you were allowed to have. I got really upset and the girls (Atomic Kitten) told me to come and have another one, even though the bodyguard wasn't happy about it.

16. When I was younger my friends and I used to play Titanic. I would run my bath and we used to re-enact the part where the ship was sinking. My mother used to tell me off for wasting water...oops.

17. My cat is called Biggles. Originally her name was Mr. Bigglesworth (like the cat in Austin Powers) but then we found out she was a girl...so Biggles it was.

18. I can speak English and Welsh fluently. I went to a Welsh school where all of the subjects were taught through Welsh (apart from English).

19. I prefer to eat desserts, soups, yoghurt, ice-cream etc. with a teaspoon. I have no idea why, but I hate using a dessert spoon.

20. Krakow, Poland was one of the best places I've ever visited. It was so beautiful in the snow. I want to go back there one day.

So there we are, I hope you know me a little better now. Feel free to let me know if you've done something similar. I'll be more than happy to read it.

Autumn

Mood: Organised
Listening to:  This on repeat (She's amazing)

Autumn Wishlist

I have given myself an Autumn to do list this year so I can feel like I've achieved something by the time Winter arrives and also in a bid to get a little more organised. So here is my Autumn to do list.

1. Start my Christmas shopping early! I say I will do this every year but I never do, but I am determined to do it this year. No more last minute shopping on Christmas Eve.

2. Project re-decorate my bedroom. I've already chosen a colour scheme (mint, white and pink) and I've chosen my bed. Now I need to get myself in to gear and buy everything.

3. Nothing says Autumn more than coming home and lighting your favourite candle. So I've added buy a new Yankee Candle to the list. I've already seen a few I like so all I need to do now is choose one.

4. Go for a walk through all of golden and red crunchy autumn leaves. I may have to wait a while to do this as I can't control the seasons and weather but fingers crossed I won't have to wait long!

5. Get crafting! I've been saving and keeping some old jars for a while ready to make some candle jars I've seen on Pinterest.

6. Go to the garden centre. The garden centres near me aren't just full of plants they have wonderful home decorations and they have lovely homemade food and lots of Yankee candles and many other miscellaneous items.

7. Get fit. Try and do some more exercise and go out on my bike more.

8. Drink more water. Just before summer I always drank a lot of water, I've always drank 8 glasses a day. I had a bottle that I took to work everyday but for the last month I've drank less water and I've really noticed the effect on my body. I feel sluggish and my skin doesn't feel as hydrated and doesn't have a natural glow.

9.  Take some pretty autumnal pictures. I don't mean snap a few pictures on my phone, I'm going to borrow my dad's camera and try and get a few good pictures. I'm am not a professional, so we'll see how it goes.

10. And finally is to appreciate the dark nights, falling leaves and the nights where you can just snuggle up with a blanket and a good back. There's nothing I look forward to more than this.

Hope you all have a lovely autumn/fall. Let me know in the comments what you like to do and if you have any traditions. I would love to know.

Drinking milk on a Saturday...

Mood: Relaxed
Listening to: Lucy Rose- Middle of the Bed

Hello there beautiful bloggers!

I've been very busy this week because I started back in work Monday so I don't really have much to say about my week. But I thought I'd do a little post anyway and ramble on about a few bits and bobs.

Last Sunday I was looking on the Liz Earle website ready to re-order my cleanse and polish when I stumbled across the September skincare essentials deal I couldn't resist purchasing it. Like I mentioned in my August favourites post, I chose the new limited edition Grapefruit and Patchouli cleanse and polish. When I arrived home from work on Thursday sat on my table waiting for me was my parcel. I was so excited to try it all. I used all products that evening and was slightly disappointed with the smell of the new cleanse and polish, it wasn't horrible but I expected it to smell more of grapefruit. I have to admit I do prefer the original.
It was the first time for me to try a Liz Earle moisturiser and I was over the moon with the product. I had the one for combination/normal skin and it's so lovely on the skin, it's smooth and sinks into the skin quickly. I think it's taken the #1 spot on my top moisturiser list.

(Not the best picture I know but it's what's in the picture that counts!)

I've not done much else this week, so I'm really enjoying my weekend. I'm having a lovely relaxing pyjama day today, snuggled up watching TV and drinking a glass of milk (so hardcore). I've had a shower and washed my hair and although I've cleansed and moisturised my face, I'm not going to wear any make-up so I can let my skin breathe a bit (very important).

I haven't bought any other beauty or fashion items this week but pay day is next week, and I've made a list of things I want. So you will probably see them in the very near future, although re-decorating my room is top priority. I've already chose my new bed! So I'm very excited for that.

I've nothing else to say now, so I better go and enjoy the rest of my relaxing day.

August Favourites

Mood: Shocked (That it's September already)
Listening to: Gabrielle Aplin- Panic Cord

Hello there beautiful bloggers.

If you haven't already noticed the summer nights are gone and it's back to dark evenings and wearing warmer clothes. Personally I'm much more of an Autumn/Winter girl anyway, I can't think of anything better than snuggling up in a warm jumper and drinking a lovely cup of tea.

Not to ramble on, here are a few of my products I've been using in the month of August. Sorry there are quite a few!
All products were purchased by myself and the opinions are all mine.

1. Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

So you may remember me mentioning buying this brush in a previous post but since I've bought it I cannot stop using it. The brush is so soft and it blends liquid foundation really well, it honestly makes your foundation look flawless. The brush is really stable and has a low chance of breaking like a typical foundation brush. I was really impressed with the colour of it too as it looks really professional and it's really reasonably priced at £9.99.
Buy it here

2. BarryM Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in Green Berry & Blueberry

So last month I was a bit obsessed with buying nail polish from BarryM and when I purchased these two colours I was not disappointed. The Gelly Hi-shine polish gives you and extra glossy finish and there's a wide variety of colours which are fun and bright. I've also got the colour Prickly Pear which a lovely light purple colour but these two are my absolute favourite, they're so pretty and I've really enjoyed wearing them this summer. The price of these are £3.99 each which is a bargain compared to some brands and the actual quality of the product is great. The polish glides on really easily and you don't need many coatings. I can't wait to try out some of the other colours!
But it here

3. MAC lipstick in Crosswires

Last month I couldn't stop wearing this lipstick and I got really attached to it. It's a cremesheen lipstick so it's quite creamy, smooth and slightly pigmented so it's really moisturising on the lips unlike a lot of lipsticks. I think cremesheen lipsticks are one of my favourite lipsticks from MAC because although they're thick it's actually pretty light on your lips and doesn't feel too heavy whilst giving a great colour. The colour crosswires is a beautiful pinky-orange colour and it looked really pretty with a tan and I felt like it was a warming colour so it would look nice all year round!
Buy it here

4.  Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser & Instant Boost Skin Tonic

So last month I began using these products and I've kinda not looked back since. They are truly a God send and perfect in every way. I had heard so many great reviews of the two products so I finally gave in an bought them and I'm really glad I did because I can't imagine not using these in my beauty routine now. They smell really nice, just like if you were in a spa and it's really therapeutic to use (that could be just me haha) and it's easy to use. The hot cloth cleanser really gets into your skin and removes around 98.9% (not an actual fact, just a guess by me) of your make-up and the tonic really refreshes your skin. I use both products twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening to remove my make-up. I've already re-purchased these and they're currently on their way but this time I've gone for the limited edition Grapefruit and Patchouli cleanse and polish. Liz Earle does some fantastic monthly deals so I've scooped up this month's September deal which includes the cleanse and polish, skin boosting tonic, moisuriser and a complimentry nourishing body cream. I recommend you check it out too.
Buy it here

5.  Charles Worthington Frizz Free Leave in Spray

To be honest I only bought this because it was on the bargain shelf in Tesco and I thought it was worth a try. The product is a leave in spray to use on damp hair before you blow dry it or leave it to dry naturally. I have quite curly/wavy hair and it can frizz quite easily especially in the humidity so when tried this product I didn't really have high hopes but it didn't let me down at all! My hair was a lot smoother after using the product for the first time and it didn't make my hair greasy like previous products I have used. The smell isn't my favourite but if it does the job I can't really complain. I haven't used the shampoo or conditioner in this range and I went to look for it but I think they've taken the complete range off the shelves which I'm gutted about. I am now using it sparingly and trying to make it last. Please let me know if you spot these in any shops!

6. Kate Moss for Rimmel lipstick in 107

For a long time I've wanted to step out of my comfort zone and wear a red lipstick that suited me. I also wanted to use more matte lipsticks so killing two birds with one stone I purchased this lipstick. It's absolutely wonderful and I really love the colour. It's a beautiful wine red colour and it looks really rich and velvety. Like most matte lipsticks it can be quite tricky to apply but if you apply some vaseline under it it glides on much better although I find it okay to use without a balm underneath. I've used this product more towords the end of last month and I'm really looking forward to using it throughout Autumn and Winter. One thing I want to mention is the smell and taste of the lipstick, it's really nice but I cannot describe what it is like to save the life of me. I really recommend this product as it's great value for money.
Buy it here

7. Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in 01 Intense Black

Last but not least on my August favourites is this gel eyeliner. I have really been into using eyeliner on the top of my lids lately and I wanted to try a gel eyeliner. I heard good reviews of this product so I decided to give it a try. I really liked using the gel last month and it glided easily and lasted a long time without smudging. Exactly like it's name, the colour really was an intense black which impressed me as I find it hard to find a dramatic black eyeliner. There is also a brush included when you purchase the gel, although I do not use it (I use a real techniques eyeliner brush) I have tried it and it's not the worst brush I've used. I was certainly impressed by this product and I would re-purchase it.

So I hope you enjoyed reading my August favourites as much as I've enjoyed using them!

Home comforts

Mood: Slightly tired
Listening to:  The Kooks- Naive

Hello wonderful bloggers!

I've been away for the last nine days and I am very happy to be home right now. I stayed at my caravan in a little seaside town called Tenby, it's a lovely place to be rain or shine but I couldn't wait to have my home comforts again and most of all to sleep in my own bed! Not that I didn't enjoy my time there it's just I couldn't wait to come home this time.

(Local beach, Amroth)

I went shopping one day and did a little splurge because I needed some new clothes for Autumn/Winter (I get excited buying knitwear!) I bought a lovely Emerald green knitted jumper from Fat Face Look Here. It's not too thick and it's lovely and soft and perfect for Autumn. Another thing I bought was, yes you guessed it. Another jumper. This one was from H&M and it was a gorgeous cranberry red Look Here.

I also bought a beautiful floral statement necklace in the sale at Accesorize. I paid £6.75ish for it and it was nearly £20! So I definitely had a bargain there.

(My name I wrote on a pebble)

As for beauty items, I didn't buy much. I finally bought Toni&Guy sea salt spray after wanting it for a while! It also had the limited edition packaging by Lulu Kennedy, and it looked so pretty I had to buy it. I have naturally wavy/curly hair but when I blow dry my hair I tend to lose the natural curl so I spray a bit of this in my hair to create some volume and it gives sort of a beach look. It also gives a light hold which is great if you don't like using hairspray.

The last beauty product I purchased was Sally Hansen nail polish remover. I had run out of my previous one and this one was on offer at Wilkinsons so I bought it. Simple. Although I'd never bought this product before I was really pleased with it because it removed a lot of nail polish with only a little bit of the product. I wasn't too keen on the smell but I can get used to it.

I'm going to have a lovely, warm bubble bath now, so I will love you and leave you for now.

Love from Bethan
